Privacy policy

Last Updated: 08/2026

At Lumora, trust is something we work for. The same honesty that shapes our product labels and marketing shapes how we handle your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

This Policy applies to personal information collected through www.lumora.co (the "Site"), our social media pages, customer service interactions, and any other service that links to this Policy (together, the "Services"). It doesn't apply to third-party sites we link to, or to how platforms like Meta, Google, or Instagram handle your information under their own privacy policies.

The short version: We collect what we need to take your order, ship your products, and if you opt in, keep you posted on new launches and offers. We use cookies and advertising tools like the Meta Pixel to show you relevant ads and measure our marketing; under some state laws, that counts as "sharing" your information, and you can opt out anytime. We do not sell your personal information for money. Full details below.

Questions? Reach us at support@trylumora.co.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly, such as:

  • Name, email, phone number, shipping/billing address, and order history when you buy something or create an account
  • Messages you send through customer service, email, social media, or contact forms
  • Anything you submit through reviews, surveys, giveaways, or promotions
  • Your email and/or phone number if you sign up for marketing

Payment information. When you check out, our payment processor collects your card details directly. We don't store your full card number on our own servers.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our Site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and browser data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate location inferred from your IP address, pages viewed and links clicked, and shopping behavior like products viewed or left in your cart. See Section 2 for how this works.

Information from third parties. This may include payment processors and fraud-prevention tools confirming a transaction, shipping carriers providing delivery updates, and advertising or social platforms when you interact with our content or ads.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to run our Site, remember your preferences, understand how it's used, and show relevant ads:

  • Essential cookies - needed for core functions like your cart and checkout.
  • Analytics cookies - help us understand how visitors use the Site, for example, through Google Analytics or a similar tool.
  • Advertising cookies and pixels - used to deliver and measure ads, including retargeting. This includes the Meta Pixel, which lets us show you ads on Facebook and Instagram based on your visits to our Site.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser and device. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process, fulfill, and ship orders, and communicate with you about them
  • Provide customer service
  • Send marketing communications, where you've opted in or as otherwise permitted by law
  • Personalize your experience and show relevant ads, including retargeting
  • Understand and improve our Site, products, and marketing
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it:

  • With service providers who help run our business, including payment processors, fulfillment and shipping partners, email/SMS platforms, hosting, and customer service tools. They may only use it to provide services to us.
  • With advertising partners, such as Meta, to deliver and measure ads, including retargeting. Because this involves sharing data via cookies and pixels for advertising, some state laws, like California's, classify it as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, even with no money involved. See Section 5 to opt out.
  • In business transfers - a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • For legal reasons - to comply with the law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Lumora, our customers, or others.
  • With your consent - for any other purpose we've disclosed to you.

5. Your Privacy Choices

Several state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include advertising pixels like the Meta Pixel used for retargeting, even when no money changes hands. You can opt out anytime by:

  • Emailing support@trylumora.co with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Information"
  • Turning on Global Privacy Control in a supported browser
  • Adjusting your ad preferences directly within Meta or other platforms
  • Using the opt-out tools linked in Section 2

We'll confirm once your request has been processed.

6. California and Other State Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive data uses where applicable, avoid discrimination for exercising rights, and appeal a denial by contacting support@trylumora.co.

To exercise these rights, email support@trylumora.co. We'll verify requests using the information tied to your account or order history, and you may name an authorized agent if we can verify their authority to act for you.

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain uses of your data. Use the same contact above.

Financial incentives. If we ever offer a discount in exchange for something like your email address, that may count as a "financial incentive" under California law. Participation is always optional, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

7. Marketing Communications

Opt out of marketing emails anytime via "unsubscribe," and marketing texts by replying "STOP." You'll still get transactional messages about your orders, like shipping confirmations, even after opting out of marketing.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't promise absolute protection.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including providing our Services, meeting legal/tax/accounting requirements, and resolving disputes, then delete or de-identify it.

10. Children

Our Services aren't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we'll delete it. We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of users under 16 without the opt-in consent required by law.

11. International Visitors

Our Services are hosted in the U.S. and intended for a U.S. audience. If you access them from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may not offer the same protections as your home country. If Lumora ships to or markets in the EU/UK, this section should be expanded with GDPR/UK GDPR-specific rights and legal bases for legal review.

12. Third-Party Links

Our Site may link to third-party sites we don't control, including social platforms. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so check their own policies separately.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll post changes here with a new "Last Updated" date and, where required by law, provide additional notice of material changes.
